Ford Mustang Mach-E GT Set to Thrill

Propelled by more torque than any production Ford road-vehicle ever offered to customers in New Zealand, the Mustang Mach-E GT can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 3.71 seconds – making it Ford’s fastest accelerating New Zealand five-seater.

A dual-motor, all-wheel drive, battery-electric powertrain, advanced MagneRide® 2 adaptive suspension and high-performance Brembo braking system combine for sports car responses and agility. The Mustang Mach-E GT also features a unique powertrain calibration that engages a greater proportion of torque at the rear wheels than other Mustang Mach-E all-wheel drive variants, supported by specially-developed tyres that can distribute the extreme torque to the road surface.

In addition, the Untamed Plus mode 3 is designed to help drivers balance the powertrain output on a track for lap time consistency – simultaneously adjusting traction and stability control for a more exciting driving experience where regulations and conditions allow.

Bespoke specification includes Ford Performance sports seats, standard 20-inch alloy wheels, exclusive Star White and Cyber Orange colours, and unique body-styling – further differentiating the premium SUV’s sleek and powerful design while retaining the unmistakable signatures of the world’s best-selling sports car.

“Mustang Mach-E GT dials up the fun-to-drive experience in an all-electric powertrain,” said Rachel White, marketing manager for passenger vehicles, Ford New Zealand. “This is a refined, premium specification five-seater SUV with the acceleration of a super-car and zero tailpipe emissions – a combination that is sure to put a smile on quite a few faces!”

International Accolades

The Ford Mustang Mach-E has received numerous awards and accolades around the world, including from independent authorities Euro NCAP and Green NCAP who delivered double honours for Ford Mustang Mach-E with maximum safety and green ratings.  The Mustang Mach-E has now received more than 20 awards and recognitions for features from interior design to connectivity.

The Ford NZ Electrification Charge Continues

The Mach-E is part of an ongoing customer-focused electrification strategy that will give Kiwi customers the choice of up to seven new Ford electrified vehicles by the end of 2024.

This year Ford has already moved to offer electrified powertrains - PHEVs, MHEVs and Hybrids - across the majority of its passenger, SUV and Transit range. Ford New Zealand’s first full battery electric commercial vehicle the new Ford E-Transit also arrives this year.

Striving for sustainability

Ford New Zealand’s EV roadmap forms part of Ford’s global investment of US$30 billion (approx. NZD$43 billion) in electrification by 2025.

To ensure a smooth electrification rollout, Ford New Zealand has partnered with Singer Electric New Zealand for installations and ABB for hardware enabling a leading supplier capability for electric vehicle charging infrastructure for both homes and businesses. With Singer Electric, Ford has rolled out charging stations for Ford NZ’s main dealer network sites already and will shortly extend this to all branch locations.  Installations include customer forecourt charging stations and charging capabilities in service areas.
